My time at Panavista Inc. has been enriching. As a production company, we provide all services
required for creating film and television alongside promotional videos for our clientele.
Our biggest project to date is Articulate with Jim Cotter, an Emmy award-winning, nationally syndicated, arts and culture PBS show that features artists from all around the world. We aim to tell a compelling story and share the intellectual insights these artists have about the world. I was able to work closely with all 26 episodes of season 5. Whether it was pitching an idea for the show, providing extensive research for all interviews, brainstorming, writing and editing scripts or establishing and coordinating the editorial calendar, I was deeply involved in every step of the process. I was able to watch projects come to fruition from the stages of brainstorming until it aired on national television. Learning about the industry and the technical aspects of my job was second best only to the communication and management skills I have learned in this position. My ability to communicate, uphold responsibilities, prioritize tasks and take on multiple roles in the company successfully propelled me from an entry level position to a vital team member in under a year. It was imperative that I stay up to date on the many projects that the editorial and production team juggled day to day in order to ensure a productive work environment, a well-coordinated workflow as well as provide solutions to any hiccups the staff encountered in the many stages of finishing a project. Sometimes that meant organizing last minute meetings, establishing and implementing new modes of communication, quickly onboarding and assisting in projects, training new employees or being a helping hand on set. I have mastered balancing a high volume of work while managing others.

While working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and world-renowned photographer, Andrea Blanch, I was responsible for writing along with generating content ideas for our staff of writers. I created and implemented a style guide for the magazine, while editing both online and print content. I was able to explore the world of photography and publishing while strengthening my managerial and cooperation skills, in a fast paced environment.

As Poetry Committee Head and a member of the Art Committee I chose submissions for the 2017 and 2018 editions of the literary journal. I gained experience deliberating with my peers and having open and constructive communication with my fellow committee members. I managed content for the journal and edited grammatical errors and stylistic errors.

As a staff writer, I was responsible for collecting and presenting ideas for features at weekly meetings, completing assignments on deadline and collaborating with the visual team. I enjoyed exploring the community, interviewing individuals and and contributing to the largest student-run media outlet at Penn State. It was an exciting challenge to manage my own research and expand my knowledge as a journalist.
